It gives the amount (32 oz.) and says not to overfill. Also I can't find out if you check the transmission hot or cold but it says to check the engine oil and transmission on the jiffy stand. The softails being the oil tank is higher than the engine unlike the other lines needs to be idled upright and level for a minute or two before checking the oil level or the measurement could be off (overfull) because of the oil in the engine sump.

Primary and Trans you don't have to worry about that. Make sure your bike is warm before you change fluids.
