Ford 302 valve cover torque specs
WebJan 6, 2005 · According to the factory assembly instructions, valve covers should be torqued to only 7 lb.ft. The only problem I see with that is that most torque wrenches are not very accurate at such a low setting. The main thing is NOT to torque the hell out of the bolts in order to avoid warping the cover or crushing the gasket.
