WebbNOTES. After multiple skin installs and removals, the lid accent strip on our 2024 G15 model started to peel up. It should be noted that our model seemed to have an uneven application of this strip from the factory (as shown in the photos). It was able to be tacked back down, but worth noting. So, the pads just curl up on all the edges - this is after trying 2 pads. if anybody has suggestions for a little extra adhesive to keep the sticker on, i'd appreciate it.

While it seems fairly strong and scratch-resistant, I can’t comment on how this will age, especially around the edges or the ports, where similar coatings tend to peel and scuff off, based on our experience with other rubberized finishes. Time will tell… WebbI turned off the laptop and unplugged it, then cleaned the trackpad with rubbing alcohol. Once it dried, it was easy to peel and stick the protectors on the pad and buttons. I've been using this protector set for 2 months now and there's no detectable wear on them. The touchpad works just like it did before applying the protector. Great product!!
Webb10 feb. 2024 · Surface Keyboard cover peeling off is a common problem, and strangely Microsoft has not found a solution!! If they really care about an eco-friendly environment-friendly solution, they should have a way to recycle the peeled off keyboard at say 25 to 30% of its value. Webb1-10 of 12 Answers. the peeling is actually a thin plastic film that is there to protect the control panel during shipping, etc. it is meant to be removed.
