WebbI'm a complete MH noob so I’ve been watching a lot of weapon videos. I originally settled on the bow but I’m tempted to switch. I’m seeing a lot of people using pretty much just slicing ammo with a LBG and killing things in under 4-5 minutes. Now, that might not be special for MH veterans but that seems pretty crazy to me. Is it that strong? WebbYou can bring a full stock of slash ammo and slice berries. Bind slice ammo crafting to the radial menu and change the setting to make it trigger on R3 presses rather than releasing the stick to be able to spam it. May want to set yourself up with the Xeno set bonus to effectively increase your ammo supply by 25% and restock at the tent if needed.

No matter how much damage you dealt to the tail with other non-cut type ammo/shots, it will never help you cutting down the tail.
